Experiencing Jamie's Italian

Last week, I went to Jamie's Italian at 107 Pitt Street Sydney, which is the newest restaurant of celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. 

We were escorted to our table upstairs which was in the front corner, away from the hustle bustle of the kitchen and for the next two hours, we had a lovely time, gossiping about the office and enjoying some delicious food!

All in all, I really liked the ambience of the place and the service was fantastic. Everyone at my table really liked their meals which is always a good sign.

We were given the Italian Bread Selection (on the house) and we also ordered the Italian Nachos and the Smoky Scamorza Arancini (yum) to share.

I enjoyed the Pumpkin Panzerotti and found it fresh and tasty and the parcels soft and airy.

Other meals at my table included buffalo ricotta ravioli (which was apparently nice but a little too lemony), turbo penne arrabiatta, veal saltimbocca and the osso bucco milanese.

We were able to make a reservation for our group of eight which was really helpful. The restaurant doesn't take bookings for groups smaller than six which means you have to wait outside for a table to become available (not so pleasant at this time of year in Sydney)! We were in and out within two hours which is perfect for a work lunch and being so centrally located was a bonus too.

I would recommend it to others as the food, service and ambience were really well done! Anyone else tried Jamie's Italian?
